What does each phase typically entail?
Phase 1: Menstruation
Hormone concentrations are all relatively low
Common symptoms: cramps, fatigue, bloating, mood fluctuations
Phase 2: Follicular
Increase in estrogren
Common symptoms: rising energy, increase in motivation, recovery feels easier
Phase 3: Ovulation
Estrogen peaks
Common symptoms: optimal energy levels, peak motivation, but potential for more injury risk

Phase 4: Luteal
Progesterone rises then both progesterone and estrogen drop quickly
Common symptoms: lower energy levels, increase in fatigue, more soreness can occur, increase in hunger, higher resting HR, poor sleep quality, lower mood
